Pre Vacation Hair

I'm not sure if you remember but I planned on getting my hair done right before I went on my little mini vacation.  I went and had a blast and my hair held up for most of the random weather, heat, humidity, massage and party.  I set it on flexi rods to get a slight curl in it and then finger combed them into a loose state to more closely resemble the photo below.  So at three weeks post I got a fresh wash and from here on out it's me and the long wash days.  My hair is still feeling long and healthy and one of my friends was nice enough to massage my scalp a bit while I was there.  I LOVE that.  And the view from my hotel was gorgeous.  Great lake, nice woods, really nicely done deck.  It was great no matter what time I looked out at it over the two days.  Anyhoo, how goes wash days around your parts and tell me what you think of the vacation hair.

    1. I love them, they take up next to no room unless you go nuts and have a tub like I do, they travel easy and it takes about 2 minutes to set some soft waves. Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Ha I was a bit surprised by how long it was even a little curly and I have to remind myself that thing brushing against the center of my shoulders is hair so quit trying to snatch it lol. I'll be back more now that one of my classes is over for the summer as of tomorrow afternoon.

    1. I had a blast. It was a short weekend trip and necessary to maintain some sanity around this house. As for the hair color, the Gods that issue gray hair and I came to an understanding a few years ago. It's growing in salt and pepper now and after it's freshly done its really white. There's some tinge of brown from really really old dye job but it's mostly looking kinda ombre on it's own with the darkest parts being underneath the top layer.

  4. Oh yes, I love your vacation hair! I'm all for low maintenance vacation hair. I'm taking a mini trip next weekend. I'm attending several outside events so I'll keep it basic with a bun. If my activities was indoors, I'd opt for some flexi rods. Flexi Rock...I'm so in love with them. Glad you enjoyed your vacation.

    1. Believe me I kinda wish I could just do a bun sometimes but it wasn't too bad so the waves held the entire weekend with a slight reset.

    1. Vacations are definitely the best. Especially when it's not tied to anything, just relaxing. It's taken seriously about three years to get the gray a nice even tone and my hair to keep growing out without major setbacks. I'm debating braids to keep it protected through the rest of the summer to see what it will end up doing come fall but there's no one close to me. Driving 90 minutes each way plus the sitting is not making me at all happy.

    1. Head massage rocked, I end up with one at the massage place and another when the friend dropped by. You probably don't want to borrow them though, they are a little weird. Now that I'm used to the gray I really like it. I'm hoping it all continues to turn the same shade of white so I don't have to mess with anything to make it more uniform.
